KODAIKANAL

Kodaikanl is situated 120kms from Madurai. Kodaikanal is one of the most important hill resorts in India. Berijam lake, Bryant Park, Pillar Rock, Guna Cave, Suicide Point, Coackers Walk are important tourist places of Kodaikanal.

Lake

Kodaikanal lake, one among the beautiful lakes of South India. It is located 500 meters from local busstand. It is recognized as Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark and tourist attraction.


Bryant Park

Bryant Park is most attractive Park in Kodaikanal. It was build in the year of 1908. The park organizes horticultural exhibits and flower shows every summer, to coincide with the peak season.


Pillar Rock

Pillar Rocks, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from the bus-stand, is a set of three giant rock pillars which stand 122 metres high.


Guna Cave

Guna cave is another important tourist places of kodaikanal. Previously this cave called  Devil’s Kitchen, are deep bat-infested chambers between the three gigantic boulders that are the Pillar Rocks.


Coacker's Walk

Coacker's Walk was constructed by Lt.Coaker in 1872. It is located 500 meters from bus stand. It is is a 1-kilometre paved pedestrian path running along the edge of steep slopes on the southern side of Kodai.


Suicide Point



Suicide point is situated 5.5kms from bus stand. Now the name of this place is Green Valley View. It  has an excellent panoramic view of the plains and a sheer drop of 1,500 metres  overlooking the Vaigai dam to the south.
